Represented a multinational construction conglomerate in a case worth USD 25 million, and won the case at all levels of Dubai Courts and got the execution of the judgement.
Represented a contractor and successfully negotiated and settled a dispute worth over USD 230 million, related to a 5.7 million sqft real estate project in the UAE.
Representing a consultant in an ongoing dispute settlement worth over USD 163 million, related to a 3.5 million sqft residential development in Dubai.
Representing one of the leading diversified construction group in the Middle East and North Africa, in several cases:
-a dispute related to contractor’s non-payment by the employer, worth over USD 127 million. -a dispute worth over USD 106 million against a Dubai-based diversified conglomerate. -a case worth over USD 5.2 million, related to subcontracting works.
We have successfully awarded judgment against the defendant claiming for share profits amounting to AED 390 million, the challenges were proofing the rights of our client with insufficient records & improper auditing reports.
We have represented our client “defendant” which has been claimed for AED 16 million as compensation for medical malpractice, we have successfully reduced the amount to AED 600,000 which has been paid by the medical insurance company.
We represented our client and we obtained the nullification of an arbitration award that obliged him to pay AED 91 million, by convincing the Court that the arbitration award violated the laws & arbitration rules.
Transaction counsel for the Joint Venture between IL&FS and the investment company for the first ever PPP venture in the UAE.
Advising on a high-end colossal multi-sports facility and infrastructure city in UAE wherein the procurement of real estate plots alone totaled AED 83 million. The said sports infrastructure city is proposed to be the largest ever such venture in UAE. Our role, inter alia, includes advising on the entire transaction structure, financing for the project, assistance in procurement of all major permits and governmental authorizations, incorporation of corporate entities and negotiation and implementation of financing documents.
Joint Venture between a Fund managed by the Japanese Government and UAE based company for procuring franchise arrangements for Japanese food products in the UAE.
Advised on the legal structuring to be adopted for funding a research hospital in Italy by a UAE
National including incorporation of a Jebel Ali company to provide the funding.
Acquisition of a leading TV Station in Egypt in a deal worth USD 60 million as lead counsel for the transaction, including advising on structuring the transaction, conducting a detailed legal due diligence, drafting of share sale agreements, share purchase agreements and all related transactional documents.
Advising on security documents issued by an infrastructure development company based in UAE in relation to design, manufacture, construction, supply, testing and commissioning a government commissioned power project in Egypt worth USD 14.2 million, including advising on the enforceability of corporate guarantees issued in India in UAE and authority of UAE based companies to issue such guarantees.
Conducting detailed legal due diligence on the Company and advise on compliances under the UAE Companies Laws, Central Bank Laws, ESCA laws and Employment laws.
Representation before authorities for the purposes of procuring additional ESCA Licenses and approvals.
